Transportation
​​If you are looking to get out and explore Maui, renting a car offers the most flexibility, and allows you to choose where and when you want to go.
​
Whether it's just for a couple days or your entire stay, having a car at some point during your stay will give you the chance to see some areas of the island that may not be accessible by a tour or excursion. ​

SHUTTLES & TAXIS
Many hotels and resorts especially those in Wailea and the Kaanapali area offers complimentary shuttle services to and from nearby attractions, shopping & dining areas. So if you feel like getting out for a nice dinner or just need a change of scenery (if available at your hotel of stay) this can be a very economical way to get around. Check with your hotel when booking to see what type of shuttle service it provides. PS. Most hotel shuttles do NOT offer transportation to and from the airport and generally only stick within a small mile radius of their hotel.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION (BUS)
Bus routes are limited and at times can be very time consuming. They are not usually recommended as the best option for those that need to be at a certain location at a specific time.
